Do yourself a favor and go get this album immediately. Like her name suggests, she will bring joy to your day with her beautifully melodic tones that is reminiscent of Sarah Vaughan, but with her own style. Not surprising Samara Joy won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. The album has some old stuff mixed in with some new stuff. One of my favorites is “Can’t Get Out Of This Mood” original by Sarah Vaughn. Grab a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail and snuggle into this album. Oh and she was just nominated for a Grammy Award.
